CREATIVE SHIFT
Feeling blocked? Frustrated?
Disconnected from your art?
Gain clarity in your art practice and feel focused in your studio with my 10-week journey of guided explorations for artists and creatives.
I share the framework I use in my
creative process and help you to build yours!
Make the work that you WANT to create!
* 'I know I'm creative but I often feel stuck and frustrated.'
* 'I have so many ideas - I feel overwhelmed, I'd love some clarity!'
* 'I've taken lots of art courses but I just want to make my OWN work'
What I hear artists say...
I hear you!
And I know these feelings because I’ve been there too - and even worse, many times the frustration has led to complete paralysis in my studio - this was SUCH an uncomfortable place to be. I knew there must be a way of working through these problems in a methodical way - before I gave up!
As creative beings, it’s absolutely wonderful that we want to try so many things and I’m totally in support of this. It adds to our creative melting pot of ideas and keeps our curiosity alive - but at some point, many of us reach a place of ‘What now?’ and with so many thoughts and possibilities buzzing around, the feeling of overwhelm kicks in and we don’t know how to move forward.
Please note: This isn't a course about painting!
it's so much more... (see below)
Here's how I can help you:
Through deep reflection and exploration of my own creative path, I created a structure which provides a step by step process of understanding your own work and its uniqueness. From the point of inspiration through to the consideration of visual elements and the materials and processes you use. CREATIVE SHIFT offers you the guidance, prompts and exercises to explore all of these areas (and more!). My framework helps you to connect the threads in your work which brings a sense of cohesion and allows you to trust in your own path.
Clarity + Focus
I’ve shared my framework with many artists and have seen so many wonderful ‘shifts’ - artists who felt just like you, but who are now applying this framework each time their work evolves. Some artists experience shifts in their work, others experience shifts on a more personal level, but what they all share is the ability to access a thoughtfully curated journey of introspection which brings clarity and focus to where they’re heading.
When we better understand ourselves and the work we create, it ignites a renewed sense of confidence, excitement and courage to move forward!
What is a 'Creative Shift'?
‘Creative Shift’ refers to a change in an individuals approach, mindset, or perspective that leads to a new and innovative way of thinking, problem-solving, or creating.
It often involves leaving behind old patterns and behaviours which are no longer supporting ones practice. Through the exploration of fresh ideas and new perspectives, new and more supportive processes can be implemented.
'Shifts' can occur in various contexts, such as in ones art work, personal life or other, creative endeavour.
Although not always a comfortable transition, shifts are often essential for progression.

Have any questions?
Please note: This isn't a course about painting! It's so much more...
' What is it then? '
' Why don't you paint during the course? '
Because we go deeper than that, because I ask you to ask yourself important, introspective questions and because quite honestly, you could learn to paint like anyone - which is amazing...
But that's not going to help you when you don't know what to do next, when you feel stuck with your work and when you begin to look outside of yourself for the answers again.
Learning different painting techniques is valuable but it won't help you to identify and create YOUR personal, creative process. However, diving deeper and understanding the many different areas of YOUR creative practice, will.
Yes, this is true for you even if you feel as though you don't have a creative process yet!
Course members are welcome to maintain their personal studio practice throughout CREATIVE SHIFT but there is no technical instruction given from me. My course will help you to identify the elements which are important to you in YOUR creative process, hence enabling you to build a personal framework in order to create the work which YOU want to create!
I will teach you how to…
Identify and explore your 'shift'
Use mindfulness and introspective tools to navigate your ‘shift’
Consider the visual elements in your work in relation to your 'shift'
Develop a personal framework for your creative practice
Push the boundaries with your materials and processes
Cultivate a self-guided practice where you can feel confident on YOUR path!
